Room Bookings in The Elder Building

We have two meetingrooms that are available for hire, one that's suitable for meetings of up to 12 people and a larger conference room that can be set up in a range of different styles for meetings of up to 75 people.

Both of these rooms are available any time of the day for seven days a week, and if you want them  in an evening or at the weekend we'll give you a key and show you how to open and lock up the building and put the alarms on.

Both meeting rooms are on the ground floor and are fully compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act and accessible for all, each room has a hearing loop and doors to the building are controlled by push panel entry. We have a small kitchen with glasses, crockery and kettles etc. that are available for use next to the meeting rooms and toilets within easy reach.

There is a range of equipment in each of the rooms listed below and if you have any specific requirements we can usually accommodate them.

Room Hire Rates
We operate what we rather grandly call differential pricing which just means it's slightly cheaper for local charities, a bit more expensive for charities from further afield and more expensive again for companies and agencies etc.

Level 1
Charities or local groups with charitable objectives whose headquarters are based in Berwick, Tweedmouth, Spittal, East Ord and Scremerston.

Level 2
Charities or local groups with charitable objectives whose headquarters are not based in Berwick, Tweedmouth, Spittal, East Ord and Scremerston.

Level 3
Commercial organisations or statutory agencies.

Cancellation Fee

Less than five days in advance 25%

Less than three days in advance 50%
